Christmas Parade Logo

Friday November 23rd, 6PM

Pack 400 will once again be particiapting in the Annual Downtown Christmas Parade. For those that have not participated in the Hanford Parade before it is one of the highlights of our scout year and the scouts have an amazing time. Any parents that want to ride on the float or walk with their children are welcome as well.

If you are planning on participating in the Hanford Christmas Parade here are some details:

The Pack entry is in Division 1 (at the front of the parade) Division 1 lines up at 7th and Green Street and we will be staging on the NORTH Side of GREEN STREET (by China alley). The parade starts at 6 PM SHARP and being that we are in the first division we will be leaving right at 6.

We would like to have all scouts at the float between 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM.

We will have Scouts on their bikes and scooters and younger Scouts can ride on the float. Leaders will be walking alongside keeping an eye on things. Parents are welcome to walk along with us,

We would like Scouts be in their Class A uniforms (Blue or Brown button up shirts) and neckerchiefs. A Pack T Shirt is also acceptable as well. Scouts can wear their scout hat but if they have Santa hats, elf hats, reindeer antlers etc. Scouts are are encouraged to bring those and get into the Holiday spirit. Scouts are also welcome to wear lights and glow sticks.

Parade rules require that all Scouts riding bikes or scooters wear a helmet. You can decorate helmets as well.

Weather is supposed to be in the low 50's with a slight chance of showers. It will get chilly once the sun goes down. Scouts can wear a long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, or a jacket under their uniform shirt to keep warm.

We will be dropping the Scouts off at the end of the parade route on Douty (typically a couple blocks past Chase Bank). Scouts will not be allowed to leave the float until a parent or Guardian picks them up.

See the below map showing the Parade Route and our staging area. We hope everyone that is around can make it. This is a great opportunity for the Scouts to enjoy the parade and get into the Christmas spirit.
