Pine Flat Sign

At approximately 2,000 feet in elevation, The Deer Creek Point Group Camp Area resides near the shore of Pine Flat Lake inside the Island Park Recreation Area off of E Trimmer Springs Road. Surrounded by rolling, oak-covered foothills and spectacular lake views the group sites are secluded from the general camping areas at Island Park.

Though it can be very hot in the summer months, Deer Creek is a great place to camp during the spring and fall months. During the winter tempuratures are very similar to the valley floor so prepare for cold nights and cool daytime temperaturatures.

There is room for 20 cars and 80 people in the camp area and many sites have picnic tables and their own fire pits. If you want a campfire you must bring your own firewood. There is a Playground, Horseshoe Pits, and Volleyball court available as well.
